This is just the prettiest china cup and saucer often referred to as a “tennis set” or “tea and toast set” which allows eating and drinking with the minimum of fuss.
The set was made by Royal Winton in the 1930’s and is in the popular floral chintz Eleanor pattern. 
It would ideal as part of a vintage tea party display, for a collector of teacups, Royal Winton collector or would make a pretty gift.
Both cup and saucer are marked with the Winton Royal backstamp.
