About Us
Rustique Rosie is from my “official” first name Rosaleen coupled with my love of vintage and antique items especially if they are from France as this is where I like to spend holidays when possible,my partner Brian and myself enjoy going around the Brocante stalls in the little French villages and towns searching out beautiful vintage items, always looking for something that little bit different!
As a child I was nicknamed second-hand Rose as often had to wear my older sisters’ hand me downs and recall being despatched to second-hand shops to look for brass candlesticks to add to my mother’s collection and also recall attending local auctions with her so guess my love of old stuff is in the blood! ​
Over time I started buying antiques and collectables and sold them at local antique fairs with every available spare minute spent attending local auctions and antique fairs locally and around GB. Around this time I also started collecting teddy bears and in 1999 began selling modern collectables and teddy bears, specialising in modern limited edition Steiff and other famous makes online.
My teddy bear business became so busy that it became the main focus of my life, however I continued to collect antiques and collectables, never losing my love for them.
